Postcard – Junk Journal July

This is my entry for today’s prompt in Junk Journal July. Find all the prompts on Instagram or YouTube @megjournals if you would like to craft along.

Today’s aspirational topic is international travel. Postcards always make me think of exotic destinations!

Supplies:

Sizzix Bigz Tim Holtz Cathedral Window die

As of this writing, price + shipping from Sizzix on Amazon is cheaper than at Sizzix website, so always check.  Sizzix does offer 15% new customer coupon on its website.

Stampers Anonymous offers a chipboard version of this exact shape if you would only use it once, or don’t die cut.

Stamp is vintage Stampin Up wood mount from a set called “Vintage Postcard” ca. 2001

Current alternatives:

Strip of stamps die is Elizabeth Craft Designs from the Planner Essentials line and no longer seems to be available, nor can I find a current alternative from a major craft line.  There is this one on Amazon:

And of course used postage stamps can be bought in bulk from vendors like Mystic Stamp, although these are from my actual mail.

Sprays: homemade walnut ink (remember that trend?), Ranger Tim Holtz sprays
