“Muppet” is British slang for a silly or stupid person, but in America it’s a beloved troupe of puppets from Sesame Street, a long-running children’s show.
Sesame Street has been running since 1969. The Muppet Show ran from 1976 to 1981.
The Muppets have a YouTube channel! @MuppetsStudio
The new series is about the band and is streaming on Disney+
